Each May, the Accelerated Cure Project hosts its signature event of the year - the "Hunt to Cure MS" scavenger hunt. Typically attracting between 100 and 150 local participants, the event features a daylong scavenger hunt during which time participants search for wacky items, answers to challenging questions, and complete unusual and entertaining tasks for points. Participants raise money for the Accelerated Cure Project by getting friends and family members to sponsor their participation prior to the event. Each team of 3-5 people must raise a minimum of $300 in sponsorships per team member in order to participate. Prizes are awarded to individuals and teams scoring the most points as well as individuals and teams raising the most money for the organization. Individuals of all abilities can participate and a good time is typically had by all.

To date, the hunt has raised more than $150,000 and a great deal of exposure for Accelerated Cure Project. Please join us as we continue the tradition and hunt to cure MS!

When
The 2008 Hunt to Cure MS will be held on:

Finish Line Party and Awards Ceremony:

Immediately following the event all participants are invited to join us at the Finish Line Party at The Skellig that will last from 4:30 to 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome, so tell your friends and family to join the fun!

What
The game is simple:

• Each team must have three to five members, fit in one car, and travel together at all times. If you don't have 2 fun-loving friends available that day, let us know and we'll team you up with some other singles - it's a great way to make new friends.
• Teams will be given identical lists of tasks to complete, items to find, and questions to answer.
• Each item on the list will have a corresponding point award.
• Teams must take photographs as proof that tasks were completed. (Contestant must provide their own cameras. Instant, digital, or video cameras are preferable. Otherwise, a regular camera and one-hour developing will do. But you must bring your photos in a viewable format to the finish line!)
• The team with the most points at the close of competition wins! But, don't be late to the finish line-every 5 minutes late will cost your team 20 points!

All of the money raised through pledges, sponsors and donations will go to the Accelerated Cure Project. The Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis is a national nonprofit dedicated to curing MS by determining its causes. Accelerated Cure Project believes knowing the causes of MS is the fastest route to curing it.
