The Boston Marathon, organized by the Boston Athletic Association, is the oldest annual marathon in the world and one of the most famous and prestigious road racing events. The 20,000 athletes of the marathon qualify in accredited marathons throughout the world by beating a qualification time. Qualified runners are joined by:

The marathon is on Monday, April 21st, 2008. It is 26 Miles, 385 Yards starting in Hopkinton and running to Copley Square in the heart of downtown Boston.
